Yaaaaaaas! Matthew and I got to take another holiday trip up to San Francisco for a visit. We drove up on a dry day following a TON of rain (and snow), so going up the 5 was absolutely gorgeous. Somewhat sadly, the majority of the photos I took are of the drive up... We spent the first day on a 20+ mile run through the city, so I didn't have my camera for that entire portion, and my phone died because I didn't bring my mobile charger, but I got a few images here and there otherwise. All in all, this trip was a complete 180 from our last trip. It was sunny the whole time, and we took public transit everywhere instead of driving. It was a great way to experience the ginormous city. <3
Per the usual, here's the adventure video and that Fall/Winter playlist for the laaaaast time!
**DISCLAIMER!!!** Sorry about the slow load times on this one. I accidentally used the full-size files instead of the blog-resized files for about the first half of the show here.... whoops. <3
HEADING UP THE 5
^ I also got creative with the multi-expo function in my camera. While it doesn't work quite like my Nikon does, it's still fun to play with. :)
Brace yourselves... miles and miles and miles of winter are coming. ;)
ARRIVAL
Alright, well road trips are very exhausting, so not much in this section, but I saved some goodies for days 1 + 2!
DAY 1
Alright, well full day 1 is kind of sparse, Matthew and I took a 20+-mile run through the city, without my camera, and without a spare battery for my phone (oops. Pokemon Go killed it). Here's some smackerels anyway, starting with some hotel details:
DAY 2
Welp, aside from getting suuuuper ill from eating too much ice cream (I didn't know I was lactose until about an hour after... I never really thought much of the discomfort in the past, but I never really ate that much dairy before, so... yeah. Not fun.), day 2 was a quaint adventure on the subways and buses and trains/trolleys through town from where we were staying at Pier 39 over to Haight-Ashbury to do the standard tourist thang. We ended up finding a restaurant called "Sparrow" that was equal parts hipster and adorable and delicious.
BYEEEEE (BACK DOWN THE 5 WE GO)
We ended our trip at a sweet little BBQ joint off the 5 on the way back home. Moooo!
PS, some random stuff from the ole iPhone (most of it came up in the adventure video)
